This week instead of highlighting a specific destination, I want to introduce you to the pack behind the Dog Friendly Travel blog:
Jenna Emmons
I’m Jenna, the only pack member with opposable thumbs. I started the Dog Friendly Travel blog to show people how fun and easy it is to travel with a canine companion. My goal is to encourage people to travel with their pups by highlighting dog friendly destinations worldwide. I also try to clearly explain what is required to travel with your pet so you can relax and enjoy your time together.
Louie Vuitton
Louie Vuitton the Frenchie is the best travel companion a girl could ask for. I adopted him from a “backyard breeder” when he was 15 months old. He was being used as a stud dog, but the owner decided he wasn’t worth keeping due to some issues with his pedigree. The first day I met him, we traveled from Austin to Boston, and we’ve barely stopped since.
Louie and I volunteer as a therapy dog team when we aren’t traveling. Louie was certified through the Pets & People Foundation in 2016 and recently earned his AKC Therapy Dog – Advanced title. We make weekly visits to a center for people with developmental disabilities. His naturally calm temperament also makes him popular at student “de-stress” events.
Coco Chanel
Coco is the youngest member of the Dog Friendly Travel blog pack. Like Louie, she is a French Bulldog, but Coco carries a rare gene that causes her to have long hair. She was born in France and made her first international trip at three months old. Since then, she has traveled to several destinations in the USA and Canada. I hope someday to take her back to Europe for a visit.
Tara Bull
Last but certainly not least is Tara Bull. Tara passed away in 2015 but still inspires from beyond the Rainbow Bridge. You can read more about Tara’s first trip to Europe (at age 13) and learn how she influenced the Dog Friendly Travel blog HERE.

I loved getting to know a little bit more about your pack! <3 The therapy work that you do with Louie is so amazing! It gives many hope, in a world that can be so cruel. Thank you for that! And Coco Chanel is so darn cute with her long hair! So sorry about your rainbow pup, Tara. If only they could stay with us forever, right? I'm sure your travels left her with nothing but amazing memories!
I love this. I have a pup he’s 14 and a half now. I travel domestically with him but not internationally. I love the idea of volunteering. I know it’s become quite popular in seniors homes
Your dogs are SO CUTE! And congrats to Louie for earning his Therapy Dog – Advanced title! What a good boy!!!
