The Soho Grand HotelĀ in dog friendly Soho, NYC, has been welcoming pups since the day it opened. It was one of the first boutique hotels to offer special pet amenities like loaner beds and bowls. Guests who have left their pets at home can even borrow a goldfish to keep them company!
There are many other dog friendly hotels in New York, but the Soho Grand offers a feature not found anywhere else in the city, their own dog park! TheĀ beautifullyĀ designedĀ parkĀ featuresĀ stoneĀ andĀ artificial turf areas with benches and even a fire hydrant fountain. Hotel guests can access the park from sunrise until 9:00 daily using their room key. It’s a major perk if you have a dog that is uncomfortable relieving itself on the city streets.

When Louis and I visited last February, we had trouble findingĀ dog friendly Soho restaurants. Cipriani Downtown is one of the few places that offers seating on aĀ heated patio. Thankfully, the Soho Grand allows you to order food and sit in the hotel’s bustling lounge. In the Summer, you can hang out with your dog in their outdoor restaurant, Gilligan’s.
